How to Spot a Bed Bug Infestation

Bed bugs are one of the most undesirable of pests as they invade our sleeping area - the place where we should feel most comfortable of allKnowing how to spot a bed bug infestation early can make a big difference when it comes to tackling the problem, as the longer you leave it the more chance the insects will infest more rooms in the house.

Bed bugs are nocturnal insects that feed on the blood of warm blooded animals including humansThey usually hide in small crevices during the day and come out at night to feast on human bloodTheir bites aren't that different to look at than mosquito or other insect bites so you can't tell straight away from bites in the morning whether you have a bed bug infestation.

One of the easiest ways of telling if bed bugs have infested your sleeping area is there will usually be small patches of dark red/ brown on the bed covers from the bugs fecal matterYour house will also often smell of a musty smellThis is released through the bed bugs glands, and will usually only be noticeable in heavy infested houses.
